Sleeping

Seattle has began to follow in my footsteps in one of many ways. My mom claims that during the night she could talk to me in my sleep and I would tell her whatever she asked. Though you can't get an answer out of Seattle, you sure can get a good show. Several times I have seen her get up with both eyes wide open and walk in her sleep. The first was when we had our turtle tank in the corner of the room. It has a filter which would let out water from the top creating a waterfall effect. She walked out of her room asleep and walked over to the turtle tank and started running in place. I couldn't figure it out until she started holding herself like she would pee any moment. She was apparently looking for the bathroom and was faced with a situation of running water and found herself trying to hold it. The next experience was her walking out of her room and coming into the living room where she checked all the locks on the doors and then stood there swaying back and forth staring at the door. She doesn't respond when you ask her what she's doing, she just looks at you gazingly and wipes her mouth and sways. It's the strangest sleep walking I've seen, by far, up to this point.

Movie Star Spotting

We were so excited at Universal Studios over the summer because I spotted Nathan from Heroes. And because I "am" that type of mother, I used my kids as a distraction to take many pictures. It was fun. But Savannah kept asking, "Why do you need ANOTHER one?"

Deception

As I was helping my older daughter Seattle finish her homework, I noticed it got awefully quiet in the bathtub. I went in to check it out and Savannah had a look on her face that only a mother knows is trouble. Well, maybe Grandma knows too. I asked her what she was doing because she clearly looked guilty. She replied so quietly, "Nothing, I just love you!" At that point it was obvious something had happened. I noticed she was also hiding something under her legs. So I tickled her until she released it and an empty soap bottle floated to the top. She had emptied an entire bottle of soap into the water. There was no rinsing her hair at that point. A mother knows....end of story.

So here is my first tell all. Seattle decided to write a card to invite her friend into her club. Her "Hontid Cub", which stands for Haunted Club. She wrote Dear Annette on the card, but made the line on the "D" too long so it looked like a lower case "b". Todd and myself commented how cute it was that it looked like "bear Annette". Then Savannah commented that it was like "You bear not touch my toys!" Only you say bear (like better) with an attitude and snap your neck a little. After we finished crying I immediately called my mom to spread the news. Too funny.

Forgiveness

I realize it's been forever since I've posted. I couldn't even find the blog. How sad is that? So now to get back into the swing of it all. I've decided to share funny stories, or even the heart wrenching ones, that my daughters tell. It will be great to look back on all this together when they are a little older. So there!

Such an angel when she doesn't think anyone is watching. Watch Out!

Snow

We drove up near Wrightwood to go sledding and have fun. The girls were frozen to bits, but did not mind at all! We went down the hill several times and took lots of pictures. Our attempt to make a snowman failed since the snow just would not stick together. We had a blast anyways.
